Sidney P. Davis, Jr.

Sidney P. Davis, Jr., obtained his law degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 1960 and has practiced law with the firm now known as Davis, Clark, Butt, Carithers & Taylor, PLC, ever since. He was a lecturer in Law and Insurance at the University of Arkansas Law School from 1962 through 1980. He has been a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers since 1981, serving as Arkansas State Chair for two years (1994/1995). He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute and Arkansas Association of Defense Counsel, receiving the Outstanding Defense Attorney Award in 1995/1996. He received the Outstanding Lawyer Award from the Arkansas Bar Association and Arkansas Bar Foundation in 1985/1986 and received the 2012 Fayetteville Bet-the-Company Litigation Lawyer of the Year from Best Lawyers in America. He was rated as one of the Top 50 lawyers in Arkansas by SuperLawyers for 2013 and is rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell.

Constance G. Clark

Constance G. Clark was born in San Diego, California, on May 7, 1955. She attended Vanderbilt University from 1972 to 1974 and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1976, where she was elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa. She received her J.D. with Honors from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1979. While in law school, she served as an associate editor of the Arkansas Law Review. Connie joined the Davis Law Firm upon graduation from law school. She has served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Washington County Bar Association and as a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, serving in its House of Delegates from 1990 to 1993. She was appointed as a Special Associate Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court in 1991 and 1996 and served two terms on the Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Civil Practice, including as Chair of the Committee. She is rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and is listed in Best Lawyers in America and SuperLawyers.

Wm. Jackson “Jack” Butt II

William Jackson ‘Jack’ Butt II was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas, in 1950. Jack was admitted to the Virginia bar in 1975 and the Arkansas bar in 1981. He received his B.A. in 1972 from the University of Virginia and his J.D. with Honors in 1975 and LL.M. in Taxation in 1979 from The National Law Center of George Washington University. He joined the firm in 1981 after four years’ practice with the Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps and two years’ private practice in Fairfax, Virginia. Jack regularly litigates in state and federal courts and before various administrative agencies.He was first qualified as an Arkansas Board Recognized Tax Specialist in 1986; has been rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell since 1994; was recognized by the Arkansas Times 1995 and 2000 polls as one of the top 10 business lawyers in Arkansas; and is listed in Best Lawyers in America in Trusts and Estates and in SuperLawyers in Commercial Litigation. Jack was President of the Washington County Bar Association in 1996-1997; served as President of the Northwest Arkansas Estate Planning Council from 2004-2006; and is an emeritus member of the William B. Kelly Carithers

Kelly Carithers was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on May 2, 1955. She graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, receiving a B.A. in 1977 and her J.D. in 1980. After working for four years as a public defender in Pulaski County, Arkansas, she joined this firm in the spring of 1985. She is rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and rated in SuperLawyers. She received the 2014 Fayetteville Medical Malpractice - Defendants Lawyer of the Year Award from Best Lawyers in America. She serves as an adjunct Professor at the University of Arkansas School of Law, and she was an appointed member of the Arkansas State Board of Law Examiners. Don A. Taylor was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, on March 27, 1964, and admitted to the Arkansas Bar in 1989. He received his education from Hendrix College (B.A. in 1986) and from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (J.D. with High Honors in 1989). While in law school, he served as research editor of the University of Little Rock Law Journal, 1988-1989. Joshua D. McFadden

Joshua D. McFadden was raised in Southern California. He attended John Brown University (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Magna Cum Laude 2001; M.B.A. 2004). He was a Soderquist Fellow at the Soderquist Center for Leadership and Ethics while earning his M.B.A. Joshua was awarded his Juris Doctor degree Magna Cum Laude in 2007 from the University of Arkansas School of Law, where he was an ABA Foundation Ethics Scholar, served as Associate Editor of the Arkansas Law Review (2006-2007), served on the Honor Council, and belonged to the Phi Delta Phi international legal fraternity. Joshua is a Barrister member of the William B. Putman Inns of Court, a member of the Washington County and Arkansas Bar Associations, and is currently serving in the Arkansas Bar Association house of Delegates. Colin M. Johnson

A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Colin graduated from Catholic High School in 1998. He then attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology in 2002. J. David Dixon

J. David Dixon graduated from the University of Arkansas with a B.S.B.A. in 1994 and from Oklahoma State University with a M.S.H.A. in 1997. He worked in restaurant management for seven years and then attended the University of Arkansas School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctor degree Cum Laude in 2005. During law school, David was a member of Phi Delta Phi international legal fraternity and was a representative of the University of Arkansas at the National ATLA Trial Competition. In 2004 he was a law clerk to Hon. Jimm L. Hendren, Chief U.S. District Judge for the Western Division of Arkansas. In 2010, David joined the firm. William F. Clark

Will Clark was born and raised in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Cum Laude, and received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law, Magna Cum Laude, in 2010. In law school he was named the Joe C. Barrett Commercial Transactions Scholar, was a member of the Board of Advocates and served as an Associate Editor for the Arkansas Law Review where his case note, Blazing a New Trail: The Effect of Medical Liability Mutual Insurance Co. v. Alan Curtis on the “American Rule” and an Insurer’s Right to Attorneys’ Fees, was published in 2009.

K. Drew Devenport

K. Drew Devenport was raised in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Rockhurst University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Business Administration. In 2012, he received his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law. In law school, he served as both a student-attorney and research assistant in the Immigration Clinic. Since his graduation from law school, Drew has concentrated on representing clients on a wide variety of immigration issues, ranging from family-based immigration applications to representing clients in the Immigration Court located in Memphis, TN. His main focus within the firm continues to be immigration law where he provides a variety of immigration services and representation to the local community.
